Mrs H Vicary and her husband Vic present their newborn baby Hugo to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a reception in London.
William held the infant - the son of one of the adventurers - in the crook of his right arm and looked down with loving eyes.
Hugo Eric Scott, dressed in a Superman romper suit, was born three weeks ago today and his name features tributes to both Mr Vicary's father who died in March and the famous British polar explorer.

Tenbury High School is situated in the market town of Tenbury Wells in North-West Worcestershire. It is an 11 - 16 mixed comprehensive school and specialist Science and Mathematics college with approximately 450 pupils on roll.
Tremendous GCSE boost for High School!
Tenbury High School's policy of providing a curriculum for its pupils composed predominantly of GCSEs has been amply justified by the most recent set of modular GCSE results from its Year 10 and Year 11 pupils.
In January 2012, 56 Year 11 pupils took their Science GCSE examinations and achieved an impressive 95% higher level (A*- C grade) pass rate (32% A*, 36% A, 23% B and 4% C). The higher level pass rate for Biology was 100% (50% A*, 43% A and 7% B!).
At the same time, 72 Year 10 pupils took GCSE modular Science exams, achieving a 75% higher level pass rate (7% A*, 11% A, 29% B and 28% C) - an impressive outcome for pupils at the end of their first term in Year 10!
The 21 Year 10 pupils who took an early entry examination in English Literature achieved a 100% higher level pass rate.
Meanwhile, 36 Year 11 pupils also took GCSE English Literature and they too achieved a 100% higher level pass rate (20% A*, 33% A, 42% B and 5% C).
Furthermore, four pupils recorded the highest scores in the country by achieving 100% in their examinations! They were Fiona Miles (Year 11, Science and English Literature), Anna Günther (Year 11, Biology), Katherine McCoshan (Year 10, Chemistry) and Barnaby Van Straaten (Year 10, Chemistry).
Congratulations too to Anna Günther, who gained A grades in her `AS' Mathematics examinations with scores of 95/100 and 97/100! Well done indeed!
